Thomas M. McMahon was the Mayor of Reading, Pennsylvania from January 5, 2004 to January 2, 2012. He graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in engineering. McMahon then obtained a master's degree in engineering with a minor in political science from Pennsylvania State University. He taught in Bangladesh with the Peace Corps. McMahon moved to Reading, Pennsylvania, in 1965 and was employed with Gilbert Associates until 1980.
